Download the App

Search for StackCare in either the AppStore (for iPhones) or from Google Play (for Android phones).

Enable 'Bluetooth' so that you'll be able to connect to your Gateway for setup details.

Locate Your Gateway

Select a nice central location that has good WiFi signal and will be more or less central to the sensors you're going to place in the bedroom, bathroom and favorite room.

After plugging in the power your Gateway will prepare itself for installation and wait with a friendly green light when it's ready to go!

Create an Account

Use the same email address that you entered for your billing account and we'll match them together. We do it this way to keep your payment information private even if you have other family members or an external caregiver in the app's Care Group.

Start Your Installation

Allow StackCare to access your camera and location when prompted. This allows the app to scan the QR Code and match your Gateway to your zipcode/timezone.

Certain older phone models may not be able to read QR Codes so we also printed the MAC address on the label; the 12-digit number can can be entered manually leaving out the ":" symbols.

Confirm the WiFi

Select the WiFi network name (or SSID) you want to connect to and enter the password.

Your gateway will cycle through a few different white and orange lights while it tests the connection. Once it's ready the app will tell you that testing is complete and you're ready to join the sensors.

Connect the Sensors

When instructed to, simply pull the small plastic tabs from the sensors. We included a short video in the app for convenience to show you.

Your Gateway will display blue lights while it automatically finds the sensors and connects them for you.

The app will show your sensors as they are connected and list the 2 digit identifying code which is also printed on each sensor.

Once all your sensors have connected. Just click 'Next'

Select the Sensors' Locations

Following the identifying 2-digit label on each sensor, just select one sensor at a time from the app and you'll be asked simply to choose which room that sensor will be in.

Don't worry if you get them mixed up, you'll be able to see them all under 'Devices' in the 'Settings' section of the app after you've finished.

We included a short video for each room to help with positioning and you can also see some helpful videos on our website here.

Create Your Care Group

Simply add other family members or caregivers by entering their email addresses. They will automatically receive instructions to download the app and create their own account and password; once completed they will automatically see what you see.

Everyone will receive notifications and alerts but some categories are limited in the amount of access they have; for example, a Caregiver cannot add or delete other people from the system.

This list can be amended or updated at any time. You can have up to 10 other people in your care group.

That's it! Installation Completed!
