In the Cloud

Stack keeps all the complicated data science and our advanced algorithms in the cloud; this keeps everything simple for our clients. All you need to do is download the app, follow the on-screen instructions, connect the gateway to Mom’s home WiFi and pop the sensors up in their ideal places.

The Sensors

Whether for StackCare @home or with our retirement community product for professional managers and caregivers, we use the same high quality sensors made by NYCE Sensors Inc in Canada. Stack tunes the sensors so they give us rich motion data when someone’s home and then preserve their battery life by ‘sleeping’ when they sense that there’s nobody there. The sensors have a built in thermometer to also provide room temperatures helping you to make sure that Mom or Dad are turning on the AC when they need it.

The App

The StackCare app is designed to provide insights to your loved one’s activity patterns; helping you understand and be aware of activity that you can’t see in person.

When we’re not feeling well we tend to spend a lot of time in bed or in the bathroom and activity levels change.

Imagine being able to see at a glance if the person you worry about didn’t sleep well last night, or if their activity pattern is varying from their normal?

StackCare @home also shows you history, allows you to share with other family members or caregivers, and has a built in chat function making coordination between relatives much easier.

For a detailed look inside the app, click here on What You’ll See (also in our top menu).

“At StackCare our aim is to reduce family anxiety and worry while Mom, or Dad, or Grandma, gets to maintain their privacy and dignity.”
